The U9B team played away against Mid Sutton in an entertaining game which ultimately ended with the wind winning. The game ended 3-3. Lusk started the game with a lot of quick short passing and keeping the ball well. Shane Taylor-Walsh scored with a lovely individual goal after 5 minutes. Lusk were playing some lovely football in very windy conditions and scored a great team goal when Kyle Whelan whipped in a corner which was superbly kept in play with a back heel volley by Aidan Russell-Vargas which was swept into the net by Shane Taylor-Walsh for his 2nd of the day. Mid Sutton were now showing some good attacking play and were denied a goal by Lusk keeper Josh Grogan, who then started a quick counter attack which was finished off by Shane Taylor-Walsh to complte his hat-trick. The 2nd half began as the 1st did but this time with Mid Sutton on top using the strong wind to their advantage. They scored 2 quick goals. Lusk began pressing and trying to pass the ball out from the back but with the wind playing havoc a determined Mid Sutton team got their equalizing goal with 2 minutes left on the clock. Honours even in a thoroughly enjoying game for both players and coaches.
